Lake Gregory is beautiful! It’s only 20 minutes from our cabin from front door to sand. You can rent kayaks, row boats, paddle boards, or even a motorized Duffy! We rented a Duffy as a family and it was one of the best lake memories, ever! Since Lake Arrowhead is a private lake, Lake Gregory is the perfect alternative!
If you love antiquing like I do, you’ll love looking through Bella’s Antiques and the neighboring antique shops in this little rustic strip. The shop owners are very kind and friendly folks! I’ve found a few fun pieces here.
Beautiful yet easy 1 mile loop of stunning trees! Perfect for kids and adults alike. I suggest grabbing one of the leaflets and follow along with the guide to the 25 trees and landmarks. It took us a little under an hour to leisurely hike and observe the trees of this loop. About 7 minutes from our cabin!
So much family fun here! The bob sledding during summer was amazing! Our 4 year old at the time rode with my husband and they had a blast. There are only about 4 – 5 rides / attractions which we really like. It doesn’t feel like a crowded Disneyland
During the summer it’s a Bike Park with zip lining, hiking, and a ton of outdoor activities. During the winter it’s a winter wonderland! Only a few minutes from the cabin.
About 45 minutes from our cabin, a little past Big Bear, you find horseback riding at Baldwin Lake Stables. Great for kids and grown ups alike to ride trails! Highly recommended!
This is a local favorite and not easy to find. It’s the Running Spring’s gem and best kept secret. Enough said.
